A nurse or midwife can be with you before, during and after birth depending on your needs.
Some of our clients have had Private Health with them in the delivery room. Others have taken advantage of our help from the moment they arrived in their room on the maternity ward. Still others have needed us to move into their private home and be available around the clock.

When you get home
When you come home from the hospital, you have a big task on your shoulders. Many new parents have never carried an infant in their hands before and are therefore not always equipped for the task. The questions are many and they arise continuously. Today, the mother/child is sent home the same day as the birth. It can feel overwhelming to come home tired after a difficult birth and with a new baby whose milk has not yet flowed. This is where Private Health can step in and help you with all the things you might need. For example, help putting your newborn to bed, establishing breastfeeding and maternity care education.

Weekdays - all day: DKK 650,- / hour
Weekends - all day: DKK 795,- / hour *
Holidays - all day: DKK 1.150,- / hour **
*Weekend rate starts Friday 16:00 until Monday 08:00 inclusive.
**Public holiday rate starts at 00:00 on the day to the following business day at 08:00
Holidays are as follows:
- New Year's Day (January 1st)
- Maundy Thursday
- Good Friday
- Easter Sunday
- 2nd Easter Sunday
- Ascension Day, Pentecost
- 2nd day of Pentecost
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve (December 31).
Subsidies from insurance and pension companies
In special cases, we encourage clients to investigate the possibility of subsidies from Sygesikring Danmark, insurance and pension companies or other related health insurances.
In this connection, Private Health can inform you that in the event of terminal care, Sygesikring Danmark provides an amount of approximately DKK 12,000. In order to receive this benefit, various declarations must be obtained from the doctor/hospital. Private Health is happy to assist in obtaining these. In all cases, we recommend that clients and/or relatives contact the relevant organizations for further information.

Maternity nurses from Private Health can move in with you if needed and be with you day and night in the early days. Depending on how many days or weeks you need help and support, you will be assigned a permanent team of 2-4 nurses.
If you contact us before your due date, we can put together a team that best matches your little family. Of course, we can also step in at short notice if, after returning home from the maternity ward, you feel that things are coming to a head and you need support and help from caring and experienced maternity nurses.
