We come to your home so we can get a sense of your surroundings and talk more specifically about how we can best support you in your everyday life.
Your private nursing team
You will be assigned a permanent team of terminal care nurses who will accompany you throughout the entire process. This creates a sense of security and ensures that you do not have to start over every time.

How does a home hospice work?
Terminal care certificate: When a person is seriously ill or dying and life-prolonging treatment is no longer appropriate, a doctor will issue a terminal care certificate. This certificate gives access to a number of benefits, including free medication and the possibility of caregiver leave for relatives.
Private Health will help you obtain this terminal declaration and arrange for the necessary medication, which is free with the declaration.
Aids and medication: We will arrange for your medication to be collected immediately and order the necessary aids, which often include a hospital bed, a pressure-relieving mattress, and various items for medication administration.
Room design: We design the room of your choice in your home with a focus on the right sound, calm light, and a safe atmosphere. We incorporate aesthetics into our care to create a sense of calm and rest, and make sure the room doesn't look like a hospital room.
The role of the nurse: Our nurses have overall responsibility and observe the client intensively. They take care of relieving pain and agitation so that the client can move through life calmly and at rest. They also perform direct care, including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, changing clothes, and more.
Special needs: If the client has special needs, we discuss these with them before they move into their final days. Our primary nursing task is to be with the client and relieve them and their relatives to ensure a good and peaceful final time together.

As a provider of terminal care, Private Health works closely with Topdanmark. If you have insurance through Top Denmark, it may mean that a large part or perhaps all of your costs will be covered. Weekdays – around the clock: DKK 650/hour
Weekends – around the clock: DKK 795/hour*
Public holidays – around the clock: DKK 1,350/hour**
*Weekend rate starts Friday 16:00 until Monday 08:00 inclusive.
**Public holiday rate starts at 00:00 on the day to the following business day at 08:00
Holidays are as follows:
- New Year's Day (January 1st)
- Maundy Thursday
- Good Friday
- Easter Sunday
- 2nd Easter Sunday
- Ascension Day, Pentecost
- 2nd day of Pentecost
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve (December 31).
Subsidies from insurance and pension companies
In special cases, we encourage clients to investigate the possibility of subsidies from Sygesikring Danmark, insurance and pension companies or other related health insurances.
In this connection, Private Health can inform you that in the event of terminal care, Sygesikring Danmark provides an amount of approximately DKK 12,000. In order to receive this benefit, various declarations must be obtained from the doctor/hospital. Private Health is happy to assist in obtaining these. In all cases, we recommend that clients and/or relatives contact the relevant organizations for further information.
